FN P90 Submachine Gun

FN P90 Submachine gun made in belgium

The Fabrique Nationale FN P90 is a "personal defense weapon" designed and manufactured by FN Herstal in Belgium. Created in response to NATO requests for a replacement for 9×19mm Parabellum firearms, the P90 was designed as a compact but powerful firearm for vehicle crews, operators of crew-served weapons, support personnel, special forces and counter-terrorist groups.

As with many other current, and emerging automatic weapon types, the P90 features "bullpup" configuration in which the action is concentrated to the rear of the design, allowing a full-length barrel to be retained in a more compact package. The weapon showcases an oversized stock and is given an integrated pistol grip and carrying handle. Due to its compact footprint, the P90 is an ideal weapon form second-line forces not requiring the function of a full-length assault rife.
